Our topic: Keeping high-tech, ‘high-touch’ in the age of a digitized customer experience
Abstract: Relentless and irresistible advances in technology are transforming the way we live, work, socialize and raise our families in the digital world. Incredibly, connected devices are reproducing five times faster than we are as human beings, growing from zero to more than 7.2 billion in less than three decades. However, as tech-savvy as we have become, the majority of consumers continue to prefer a ‘human touch’ when interacting with their favorite products and brands. This presentation will discuss how companies – from start-ups to established brands – can gain a meaningful competitive advantage by shifting their mindset and evolving their approach to customer service by thoughtfully using technology to enable more personal, connected brand experiences that drive top-line growth.
Drawing upon his success partnering with some of the world’s largest and most iconic brands, Jeffrey will share insights on how to implement a high-tech/’high-touch’ strategy to delight customers that includes developing an omnichannel experience, using more “friendly” customer service metrics, making text and speech analytics actionable and incorporating a focus on both small and big data. Critically, your ‘high-touch’ customer experience strategy must have as its foundation an exceptional employee experience. TELUS International has differentiated itself in this regard, achieving an 81 percent employee engagement score – a global-leading industry result – that drove year-over-year revenue and EBITDA growth of 33 and 49 percent, respectively, in 2016. Jeffrey will present clear examples of how inspired employees equipped with the best technology, become true brand ambassadors for their company’s products and services, fueling greater retention and wallet share gain with existing customers and attracting new customers.
